December 4, 2019

The community is invited to Lehigh Regional Medical Center for its annual Christmas Tree Lighting, which is complete with a visit from Santa Claus.

The event will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, at 1500 Lee Blvd.

Lehigh Regional Medical Center spokesperson Jackie Arsenault said the annual event is an opportunity to bring the community to the hospital for a night of festivities.

"They decorate the whole front of the hospital. The palm trees are decorated. It's really very nice," she said. "They try to make it really special."

Santa Claus will arrive by fire truck at 5 p.m., followed by free photos with Jolly Old St. Nicholas. A few of his elves will also be in attendance.

A stage will be set up outside of the hospital with live music. Arsenault said she has contacted local schools, with the hope that they will also provide some entertainment during the event.

The Salvation Army will be in attendance ringing its bells.

Refreshments, such as eggnog, hot chocolate, coffee and cookies will be provided.

"The hospital cafeteria is set up with green and red linens and it's all decorated in there," she said.
